So, I haven’t been on Tumblr in a while, because of all the craziness….
As many of you know, I’m a youth pastor in Staten Island. The neighborhood where my church is located is one of the hardest hit areas from the hurricane. Last time I heard, our neighborhood had somewhere around 30 confirmed deaths. I feel like I’m in a third world country, but I’m just at my church… We completely lost our first floor of the church (including my office), and many families in our church are now homeless and nearly everyone is without power. Because of the enormous storm surge most people are in need of clothing (many people in the area lost everything). If you are in the Staten Island area, we are collecting clothing at the church.
We are also coordinating to provide food, showers, and help to families in our area, while also trying to repair our church.
